4731 Grand River
4731 was founded in 2000 by Ric Geyer – a Detroit “urban revivalist”- with a metal shop, a wood shop, and several artist studios. Over the last 12 years, we’ve added 31 studios, created an award-winning gallery on the first floor, and hired a renowned management team headed by Managing Director, Derek Weaver. In the process we’ve served over 300 artists, held more than 250 events, and were awarded the “Cool Cities” Award by Michigan’s Governor in partnership with the Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation for our work in stabilizing the west end of Detroit’s Woodbridge neighborhood. We were also named “Best Arts Building” by the Detroit Free Press! Thanks to our tenants, visitors and supporters, we have become one of Detroit’s premier co-working spaces. Come see what we have to offer.
