4731 Grand River Building
This is 4731! The building was founded in 2000 by Ric Geyer-an urban revivalist- with a metal shop, a wood shop, and a bunch of local artists. Over the last 12 years, we’ve added 31 studios and an award-winning gallery on the first floor. In the process we’ve served o
ver 300 artists, and were awarded the “Cool Cities” Award by Michigan’s Governor in partnership with the Woodbridge Neighborhood Development Corporation for our work in stabilizing the west end of the Woodbridge neighborhood. We were also awarded “Best Arts Building” by the Detroit Free Press in 2004!
